Current Information on Student life at PWSCC
PWSCC …At a Glance
- PWSCC enrolls more than 1,500 students each semester while maintaining an average class size of less than 12.
- PWSCC’s policy of not charging out-of state tuition attracts students from all across the United States and the world.
- Currently we have students from Colombia, Ecuador, Nigeria, Cameroon, Japan, South Korea and Latvia.
- PWSCC is the only community college in the state of Alaska that has on-campus residence halls. We have apartment style units for 40 students.
- PWSCC continues to serve Alaska Native students with 15% of the total enrollment comprised of this group of students.
- PWSCC offers the following clubs and organizations to expand your social experience: Phi Theta Kappa, Multi Cultural Club and Student Government.
- New for 2008-09. A new student residing in the residence halls for 2008-09 who continues to reside there in 2009-10 will not be subject to any potential rate increase. You will keep the same rate for two years!
- PWSCC’s Scholarship program is one of the most liberal in Alaska. Make sure you apply and good things might come your way.
